Apply for a place
All applications are coordinated by Essex County Council. For Reception places (normal round), apply online via Essex: Apply for a primary (Reception) school place.

Catchment (priority admission area)
Use Essex’s catchment checker to see whether your address sits in our priority admission area. Living in catchment does not guarantee a place, but it can be used within the oversubscription criteria. essex.gov.uk

Published Admission Number (PAN)
Our PAN is 30.

Oversubscription criteria 
If there are more applications than places available, places are offered in this order:

  1. Looked‑after and previously looked‑after children
  2. Siblings of children already on roll
  3. Other children living in the priority admission area
  4. Remaining applications

In the event of over-subscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority. 

Your application should be made through Essex County Council. If you wish, you can fill in the form below and log it with the office so we are aware of your application.

In‑year (mid‑year) admissions
Moving schools during the year? Your application should be made to Essex County Council. Please contact our office before applying so we can advise on current availability.

We warmly encourage visits from parents who need to make mid year applications.  Please contact the office on admin@felsted-pri.essex.sch.uk or call 01371 820215 to book a tour.

If you’re not offered a place
Essex manages waiting lists and appeals. Appeals are organised and heard in line with statutory timescales, and infant class size rules apply in Reception/KS1.
